Mike Hankin is an academic, curator and artist interested in folk and vernacular culture. He is the co-founder of the OffBeat Folk Film Club dedicated to British folk culture on film, with sell-out screenings and the launch of the first Folk Film Festival in 2025.
He teaches design, culture and critical practice as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Arts London.
He also explores similar themes in his painting and printmaking, with work shown around the counrtry.
