Working across painting, illustration, publishing and research, his work explores contemporary ideas of Englishness, folklore and place.
Alongside his studio practice he founded The Folk Union and OffBeat Folk Film Club and Festival, two projects concerned with contemporary folk culture and its representation today.
His work has been exhibited across the country and his most recent solo exhibition was at the Old School Gallery in Northumberland.
He is a senior lecturer teaching design and critical practice at the University of the Arts London.
